Not feeling it right now
I hate to rain on the parade, but if you haven't yet read my thread, you might want to. Look under the Z06 general discussion starting on 7/2, entitled "Bummed beyond belief". I loved my 60th Anniv, and then this! I would be interested in what each of you would do in this situation. Maybe once the whole thing is resolved I will send in a picture.

Exactly! In the end we need to know;
1) The Engine Builder
2) The date of the engine build
3) The Day of the (week) of the engine build
4) The established cause of the failure
So, far it's 1% of the 427's and I hope it stays there! Stay tuned!
The affected cars are very low mileage, which is revealing in itself. Could be a part(s) supplier.

Told you so!
Add another to the Registry...had to fly out to SC and drive 1800 miles back to Colorado this weekend. I also have a C5 for comparison, three words describe this car...OMG!!! Of course, I captured the great moment (while driving) of the big 427 on the odometer.

Well I drove my lowered C5 on the base before making the final decision on the 427 (assuming that my C5 was lower). Asked others what their clearance was and test drove/measured the clearance on a couple in Denver. Thought I'd have lots more clearance with the 427 based on the info received. Measured my new 427 once I got it home and only have an additional .25 inch clearance (5.25" on the front). Still works...just got to be careful as usual.
