Are any of you fine 427 owners interested in selling? If so, please PM me with your details. Ideally I'm looking for one with under 10,000 miles, the 1SC package, the carbon fiber package, and either the heritage or anniversary packages. The money is ready to go Thanks!

I recently acquired a 2013 427 Collectors Edition in Crystal Red. Only 4000 miles on it. Bought is sight unseen with only pictures and by the dealer's salesman giving me the answers to the questions I asked. It arrived by enclosed carrier at my expense and I am more than pleased. I have a 2011 base convertible with only 20000 miles that is now available for sale. I would post pictures but not sure how to do that.

Trying to locate the current owner of the 427 I had. I was cleaning out a closet and found a few things that should have gone with the car. When I traded it in I thought I had collected everything that belonged to it. The last four of the VIN is 1062. I keep checking here and the other sticky to see if a new owner adds it to the registry. The car is CRM with black top and interior, 1SB, chrome ZR1 wheels. It had 4166 miles on it at trade in. The last CARFAX showed it in North Dakota. I traded it in Palm Beach for a Ferrari F430 in Feb 2014. That dealer sent it to Chicago Motor Cars and they sold it to someone in ND.

Oil Analysis
I am in process of purchasing an Inferno Orange 427 Vert #0932 from 1200 miles away. I hope to get her from the transport company in the next 7-10 days. Anyway it has been a year and about 3,000 miles since her last oil change, and I want to send an oil sample to Blackstone before my CPO warranty runs out in 8/18.
Question is: I'm ready to get in her and have some fun, but feel like it is overdue for an oil change. Should I wait to get my results back before changing the oil. Just in case something bad does pop up, does the sampled oil still need to be in the car if I try to make a warranty claim. Probably being over concerned, but any thoughts would be appreciated. BTW I have enjoyed everyone on this thread over the past week. Lot of great stuff in here!!!!

I recently purchased this 2013 60th Anniversary Edition 427. If you ever get a separate Forum division for the 427, count me in. This is my 4th Corvette and the most unique one I have owned....each a stunner in their own right. But this little rocket ship is incredible but here I am, preaching to the choir.

Be sure to see the 427 Registry topic and put your information in there to be added to the list.

I seriously doubt GM would do any warranty service as the result of an oil analysis. The vehicle would need to be exhibiting a specific, repeatable problem before GM would even look at it. The oil analysis is for your peace of mind only. The 2013 Convertible 427 has proven to be very reliable -- change the oil and enjoy it.

CPO = ONLY Oil change and tire rotation?
Okay! Here is my rant for the day.
We own a 2013 60th Anniversary Corvette 427. I took it into the dealer VALMARK Chevrolet in NEW Braunfels, TX. for the 15K mile check. They changed the oil. They told me my clutch fluid reservoir was empty BUT they found no leaks, AND my brake fluid was high in copper.. I asked them if they filled the reservoir and they told me "we do not top off any specialty fluids." I TOLD HIM THE cpo SAYS TWO MAINTENANCE CHECKS IN 24 MONTHS OR 24OOO MILES. TO WHICH HE REPLIED" THAT IS OIL CHANGES AND TIRE ROTATION ONLY. " IN OTHER WORDS, IF YOU BUY A CPO CAR YOU ARE GETTING AN OIL CHANGE AND NOT MUCH MORE, unless there is a mechanical failure, I guess.
P.S. My tires CANNOT be rotated. The "Specialty fluid cost me $5.36 for a WHOLE bottle of DOT4 .

at BMW they replaced windshield wiper blades free of charge. If I said the brakes were squealing, I got new brakes...no questions asked. I love my Corvettes and I say its the price we pay for the price we pay. It would be nice if it were all inclusive like other luxury cars. One more piece of dirt. My wife recently bought a new Lexus ES 350. If came with lifetime service for as long as we own the car, including battery and brakes. We are on our own for tires but if I buy tires from, lets say Tire Rack, they will mount and balance and do the wheel alignment for no charge.
I just bought a 2013 Anniversary 427. No warranty. I went to the dealer that I bought the 2011 from (I did not buy the other car at the same place) and purchased a 6year 60,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty at a very attractive price because the car had under 10,000 miles on. I dealt with a salesman I had dealt with before. He got his sales manager to throw in 2 free oil changes.
Didn't mean for this to get so lengthy but here I am. I am a believer that fluids are life blood of the car. I try to change the engine oil somewhere between 3000 and 5000 miles. Yes, definitely overkill but when it comes to engines, oil is life. I have two Corvettes with manual transmissions. I believe the book recommends transmission oil change at 27,000 mile. I had that oil changed at 20,000 miles. Small price to pay to keep everything in tip top shape. As a matter of fact, the service writer mentioned that he wished more corvette owners would do the same. He gave me card for a free engine oil change when I came back.
I have owned many airplanes, boats, motorhomes and I have no idea of how many cars I have owned over the years. Each and everyone of them had preventative maintenance and engine oils were always changed and replaced well before they were do. I never lost an engine or had serious engine damage due to an oil problem.
