but since I couldn't go anywhere I decided to change out the AC Condenser on my baby Lux 19

It was easier than I expected (I was used to working on my '01 SS Camaro.), BUT it had just the right amount of clips, bolts, and laying-on-the floor-time, to satisfy the gearhead/garage mechanic in me. I fell in love all over again.

I also perused the C7 spy pics all over the web, and...I hope that the C7 is just as garage mechanic friendly.

Happy Sunday Everyone, I'm off to play gran turismo 5

Its now Torch Red

Base coat clear coat with correct paint code too!
I need to buff it out, toss some black carpet on the floor, install the little vinyl door panels I make and the new black vinyl seat. We ordered a brand new battery on Friday.

The wait for Xmas to see the reaction
Make sure you sup it up. Try putting in some extra batteries in series. The motors will take 24 Vdc (two 12 v batteries in series) and go MUCH faster. I had a blast watching my son doing donuts in those electric cars!

OP, very cool pics, especially the first one with the line of Vettes as far as you could see. Thanks for posting.

I on the other hand had arthroscopic shoulder surgery, just took the dressing off today!

I had similar surgery on the 9th of Nov, I picked up my new 427 on the 28th of Nov. In the 5 days I've had the car, I've driven 0 miles due to the surgery and not being able to shift gears.

Had to recruit a buddy to drive it home for me, another buddy was nice enough to come over and give me a ride in my own car this weekend.

Thinking it will be today or tomorrow and I'll finally be able to shift forward gears without pain. Hope you recover soon.

Sunday: Yard work, and also made this AWESOME video (yes that is sarcasm) of my 100% stock exhaust note for future reference.

That's an impressive line of Corvettes. Looks like a fun weekend....good times!

What did you do this weekend?

I was racing with NASA Arizona at the Chuckwalla Valley Raceway (located between Blythe and Palm Springs, California). It's a challenging 2.75+ mile road course with some decent elevation changes. There were lots of fast cars and the weather was great around 75 degrees. They changed to an anti-clockwise configuration so it was like a new track for me. I still have room for improvement but I got my lap time under 2 minutes so I was happy. Even the 60 mile drive to the hotel in Palm Desert wasn't too bad.

Wow what a bummer, must be tough not being able to drive your new 427 beauty! Your friends are the fortunate recipients of your pain, always nice to have good buds though! Be careful driving, even though mine is on the left side I wouldn't feel comfortable and mobile enough to drive my 427. Enjoy your new car and hope you recover soon also!

Most of you had a fun weekend while I spent mine lounging in a hospital after getting another heart stent installed. I still had the bandage on my head from the cancer removal last Monday and hadn't yet mastered/regained control from the prostratectomy in September. Getting old sucks, but I hope I'm through this crap and can get back to racing soon.

I'd post pics, but the forum would ban me.

Thanks guys. It's just a bump in the road of life. I'm thankful to still be kicking, as there are millions who suffer far worse problems.
