Screwed on hood price, anyone else?
Ordered SLP L88 type fiber glass hood without clear window, charged
$1304.00 shipped! After I get mine, they then offer everyday price
for exact hood for $999.00 shipped, really makes a guy proud & want
to do business with them again!

Consider contacting SLP, ask them for the difference, all they can say is "no". If they refuse THEN you've a real beef to post. Try it.

My bride's a "professional" shopper. Whenever she's bought something from a department store, and the price was reduced within several days following her purchase, she's requested & received a refund of the difference. Every single time.

Things do go on sale everyday. If you paid the 1300 then you obviously thought is was worth it to do so. They might be running low on stock now or they might have gotten a reduced price from thier supplier after you had already bought yours. There is something called profit margin that every reatailer/manufacturer have to keep in mind. Ask for the reduced price maybe you will get it and maybe you wont. Keep in mind however YOU bought the item and agreed to the price. No one garunteed that the price wouldnt be reduced at some point and im sure you never asked.

Before posting on the Forum and bashing them, you definitely should contact the vendor for resolution. Prices change all the time for various reasons.

Easier to complain first, Gold.
S'pose it's a[nother] sign of the times.
Truth is since she does all our household shopping I never knew stores would refund price difference on sale items, 'til she informed me. Was totally shocked. She's handy that way.

As such s/he owes each person posting to this thread a share of the refund. It's all about 'social justice' these days, y'know.

Based on supply, demand, materials and labor costs, prices on everything will fluctuate. Bad mouthing a business because of this isn't really good practice. Especially if you haven't contacted them. If it was literally a day or two difference, I bet they find a way to make it right by you. Whether that's a refund or some other means or credit.
We do the same thing, if we have a sale on our products. Within a reasonable amount of time, if you ask, we'll do something for you. We're not going to be so inclined if you've been badmouthing us around the internet because of it though.

I guess I would question, "......after I get mine.....". How much after, a day, 3 days, a week, 2 weeks, a month?
Doesn't hurt to request SLP for a refund of he difference BUT, in my honest opinion, you have none coming.
It's much like buying and taking delivery of your car on the 25th of any given month. The beginning of the following month a rebate is announced on the same type of car delivered in the announced month.
You will not get the rebate on your previously delivered vehicle.
But, good luck anyway.

Well, that was embarrassing (if I were TT) .... to read all these posts. Maybe, if he gets a reduced price (he may not), he'll come back on and tell us what a great biz they are!

Don't feel bad it happens to me every time I buy electronics, cell phones, GPS, TVs, Computers. I buy and down the road the price drops because it is no longer the newest thing out there.

Since when is stating facts about what a vender did considered
bashing or badmouthing? If that is the case here might be the
vender should not have done this, all wishing to bash somebody
think on that! Enough said!
Thanks for reading, I respect your opinion!

Not trying to be argumentative, but what you wrote may not be bashing. The question remains tho, did you ASK for a reduction in price since the reduced price was relatively close to when you made your purchase?
If you didn't take the extra step to see if there was some compensation, then consider all the above as suggestions to do so. And maybe in the future, you may be posting a thread about another vendor but with a good outcome even if seemed like it might not turn out that way.
