Dealer and GM honoring 2013 Corvette Incentives
I ordered a 2013 Grand Sport through a dealer allocation on November 2nd. I gave the dealer $2000 in cash as a down payment. I was told it would be delivered before the end of the year.
I am now hearing the TPW is the week of January 7th. Since this is beyond the January 2nd expiration of incentives, does GM still have to honor those incentives considering I have no control over the January 2nd date and the TPW? The incentives I was given at the time I put cash down were valued at $4,500.

I didn't read the rules of the latest incentives but usually they say you have to take retail delivery during the incentive period. "IF" that's the case now, you might still be able to work with your dealer and get them to stay on top of your car's movement through production. If they can get the VIN and process the paperwork prior to the incentive expiration then you would be good.

Not totally sure, but I think it's whatever incentives are in effect at the time of delivery. I think you'd still be in good shape as the Jan incentives simply have to be better than the current ones.
Using a large nationwide dealer web site where you can easily monitor inventory numbers, I'd say they're not moving leftover 12s and 13s very fast, so GM might up the ante to move inventory. On the other hand I thought there was something about the November deals that were better than the current ones. Worst case you can still take a walk...

I just bought a new car in Nov. While a January delivery was never a factor I was told by the 4 big dealers when talking about their inbound cars.......delivery by 12/31 is a MUST. Does not mean that GM may not extend the rebates or sweeten the deal, but if you don't final the deal by y/e the current deal ends.
Just a wild guess...... but if I was GM I would not extend the rebates. 1. Production is ending early on the C6. 2. No C7s until fall. 3. If folks don't love the C7 the C6 sales will pop. and 4. They can always bring the rebates back if needed......but by the end of January they will have a decent idea of interest in the C7. No Corvettes produced for 6 months......spring and summer months.......tough marketing decisions on such a narrow group of buyers.

The car was considered "delivered" for incentive purposes when all the paperwork was signed and the car was paid
for (cash/loan or combo). Physical possession was another matter.
But, my car was on the dealer's lot...yours is still being built. Suggest you try to work things out with your dealer...
and as someone said, if the deal drastically changes you can cancel it. G-L !

All you need is vin number to pay for it.

Read your buyers order. Most dealers include language to the effect that the price will include any incentives available at the time of delivery.

I ordered a 13 GS in September, delivered iate November. 4th vette bought from same dealer. Dealer assured me no incentives would apply until car was delivered. Could not sign even w VIN numbers ahead of delivery. Good luck....I hope you get your incentives. I would think GM will keep rebates until C7's start production. Let us know how it irks out for you. Btw, my 2K deposit was non refundable.

Did museum delivery in November. As soon as car was invoiced by GM to Mac Mulkin, I sent Tommy Jr. a check, then took physical delivery two weeks later. Paying for your car constitutes delivery for incentive purposes.
