Default RTV type odor

Has anyone else experienced a rtv silicone type of odor in their cars? I just changed the cabin air filter as couple of weeks ago, but it smells like omeone just opened a tube of rtv silicone in the car, but dissipates in about 2 minutes. So it just happened on start-up the last 3 times I got in the car.

Not sure i would associate with RTV but I have noticed at startup or when high rpm to stopped traffic I get the same smell occasionally. I associated it with a premium fuel burn exhaust smell being sucked into the cabin helped along by wind direction. I know it s not brake or clutch smell.

I get an occasional smell while idling in our garage, usually just after startup but sometimes when I pull in after driving. Seems to happen most in cold weather.

At first, I thought it was coolant, but the C6 pressure tested properly overnight, and the Toyotas do it occasionally too.

Could be the sulfur smell from a bad cat with the engine rich when cold.
