Can I just say.......?
After nearly 30 years of driving I must admit that the driving experience with my new Corvette is hands down the best. I’ve primarily owned Japanese vehicles but the last 10 years sold my soul for the ‘Ultimate Driving Machine’ by way of my 2002 M5 and a 1997 540i 6-speed Sport, which I still keep as a garage queen. The e-39’s were the last of the good ones IMHO……but that’s another thread entirely
That said, I never remember an instance when a fellow Honda or Bimmer rolled up next to me or from an oncoming lane and gave me a thumbs up, wave, peace sign or other form of feeling as though I was part of a club. In just 2 months of owning my first American made vehicle I have to admit that the experience on the road, with fellow Vette owners and even non-owners alike, has just been nothing short of incredible.
Maybe it has something to do with the being down south, I dunno. But I do know that we live in a day when we’re all in a rush, drivers yapping on their phones, road rage but yet common driver courtesy seems to be an after-thought for many.
So in closing, thank you my fellow Corvette drivers for making my Corvette experience a special one. Please help keep this great American tradition alive for years to come.
Cheers!

I feel the same way.. Drove a Jaguar XK convertible and never got a single "wave", though I offered many. First week I had the 'Vette, must have traded waves with at least a half dozen folks I have never met...
Pretty cool....

Very similar experience for me. I liken it to riding my motorcycles on a nice two lane, especialy when I'm on my 34 year old six cylinder CBX. I get lots of waves from perfect strangers!

Couldn't agree more. Wife and I went for a drive on Saturday ...mid 50's and sunny for a change. Waiting outside the store to leave and a man gets out of his Jeep and gives us a wave.
Wife is finally starting to get it. Says .."must be a Vette owner".

That was one of the big decision factors for me when deciding between buying a CTS-V and my GS. All the social activities and clubs for corvettes just can't be beat.

God Bless America.....what a Country
I do not see too many Corvette's here but even in the cold they wave from inside the car. lol.

I've owned BMW's in the past and like you I never experienced the camaraderie that comes from owning a Corvette. We all have our own opinion but I can't think of any car that packages performance, looks and affordability all together quite like a Corvette. The Corvette is truly something special.....an American icon!
