The ZO6 wide body will allow you to put a two inch wider rim on the rear of your car. So you are also looking at replacing your rear wheels and tires as well. I have seen some manufacturers who make wider wheels that would match the base wheels on the front of your car. So you would only have to replace the rear wheels only instead of all four.

Default PM me.

RPI...My wife is slowly giving me the green light to purchase the widebody kit for the rear of my vette.
I have not shared the total price with her yet. My car 2005 C6 Black corvette coup.
I plan to purchase the following item in April.
Color: Black (Pre-painted)
C6 Z06 Rear Quarter Panels #C6883U
ZR1 Style Body kit #ZR1BK
1.5" rear wheel spacers (2)
Can you PM me the cost including taxes for zip code 30546
Also shipping time frame.
This way I can give her the total cost including taxes and shipping.

I plan to purchase rims/tires later then the front wide body kit and front bumper next year.

Thanks

RPI..
The debate is going back and forth on what spacer to use with your rear widebody kit if you decide to use your current base model C6 rims and tires.
What do you recommend if my goal is to have the tire flush with the new rear wide body kit edge "without rubbing during bumps in road".

I thought it was 1.5" spacers but you stated I can upgrade to rims 2" wider. That should means my spacers can be 2" to make my current tire/rim setup be flush to the widebody panels edges. (correct yes or no). What do you recommend for spacers to get the right look.

Thank you for asking, Here are two different ways approaching it, a scientific way and a non scientific way. First the scientific way, you are installing on Z06 rear 1/4 panels so once installed the rear of your car will be a z06 when it comes to the width of the car, so either you can get new rims that are the 19X12 z06 size and correct tires or you can properly space out your 19X10 with the correct spacers. Here is where the scientific way comes into play. The C6 base Rear Corvette wheel is 19X10 with +79mm offset, the Z06 wheel is 19 X 12 with +59mm offset so the c6 base wheel will have 8 inches of back space and the z06 wheel will have 8 5/16 inch of back space. That means the c6 base wheel sticks out 2 inches from where the wheel bolts on to the hub where as the z06 sticks out 3 11/16 from where the wheel bolts on to the hub. So with this calculation the c6 base wheel will have to come out 1 11/16 or if you want to round it off 1 3/4 of an inch to bring it out where it should be in a safe spot installed on the car. The 1.5 inch would keep the wheel tucked in a little bit and offer better clearance and the 1 3/4 inch spacer would push it out just a hair over where factory it would of been. So if you are looking to use a 2 inch spacer then it would most likely be flush with the 1/4 panel and you might risk the chance it might rub a little bit under a hard load?? Ok, Here is the non scientific way (my favorite one) once you install the wide body 1/4 panels you take you stock c6 wheel and you mock it up, put the wheel in place where you want it to be, hopefully you can see and make sure it will not rub as it goes up and down and you measure from the back of the wheel to the surface of the hub where the wheel mounts to. There you will have the size of the spacer you need. Just make sure with this way you have the car at ride height and the rear suspension is loaded like it would be as you are driving along so you can get an accurate measurement. As far as getting the right look that would be up to the owner of the car, I have seen several different styles of wheel placements on Corvette rear tires where some are flush, some are sticking in a little bit and some are sticking out three inches. That right look really depends on the owner of the car on how you feel the rear tire should be placed.

Just by chance, is RPI doing a whole conversion kit, front fenders and bumper, rear panels, pre painted?

Wanted to chime in and let everyone know what my impressions are after doing the conversion.

First, I got new wheels. Stock on these puppies just looks silly. My advice, dont do it until you can do it right. Buy once and buy right.

Second, the rear 1/4 panels fit pretty good. Had to drill out every pre-drilled hole, but at least it's in the right spot. I suspect it's paints fault. The fit on the car itself is perfect actually, but we all know... aftermarket body... usually means issues. The ONLY problem with this kit was getting the plastic covers installed for the rear breaks. They simply DO NOT fit. My friend, who was giving me a hand, is quite the macgyver and he was able to get them in, but not without modification. So unless your macgyver, forget it. As for paint, matched prefect.

Spot on to how mine went. Totally pleased and definitely worth it. Changes the appearance of the car 100 percent. I was going to wait but have started the ball rolling for the fronts....

I have the following after-market rims 19 x 10 rims, I am unable to locate anyone that has this rim in 19 x 12. For now I will go with the 1.5" spacer. Adding 2" to this rim is a 8 to 9 week wait period. I want to ride this summer. Might consider growing the rims by 2" during down time this winter. Or might bite the bullet and purchase 4 rims with tires.

Thanks

Quarter panel turn around time is about 6-7 weeks.

Are these fenders heavier than OEM? Can you PM me a price for a Jetstream Blue set for a 2008 z51 coupe. Do you have fronts also? If so a price for those also, thanks.
