Width versus offset?? Question
Rear wheels stock on a 2008 C6 apparently are 19 x10 w/ 79 offset.
Looking at TSW Nurburgring they sell the rears in a couple different sizes but I think the 19 x9 w/50 offset have the correct bolt pattern at 5x120.65.
Here is the question:
You give up 1 inch in width but gain approximately
29mm in offset so thats 29/25.4 = 1.14 inches in offset.
Am I thinking about this correctly ...your tires will stick out approximately the same as stock?
Or is it....
The width is 1 inch wider with stock but that only shows up as a 1/2 inch wider each side then the TSW wheels. Then the offset actually makes the TSWs stick out 1/2 inch more then stock in the rear?
Or am I thinking about this all wrong??
Also apparently they have 19x10.5 rears but will my 285s work on that? Or am I cutting it a little thin?
Bottom line is I certaintly dont want my wheels to sink in anymore....dont mind them sticking out more at all.

Yes, you are correct.
Personally I would never go with a narrower wheel unless it's for winter purposes. I'd pick the 10.5" and 285 is just fine with it. What offset does the 19x10.5 have ?
