I have about 5 keys on my fob ring and they cause the key inside the fob to easily come out. I can easily pull the key without any force. Is this normal?

for some folks yes and for some folks like me, no.
some say it almost falls out with a small tug.
in my case, it is so hard to remove, i had to use all my force!

a fob jacket would work for you..

fellas..trust me...juuust went through this. IF everything in the fob ain't pushed together in OCD fashion the fob will not work right. I am not sure if a fob "jacket" will help or not but to the extent it serves to keep all parts intact and communicated this might be a clever extra. What do I know?

and of course I just changed out the battery

When I'm out with the C6 I have my keys in the console and the fob in my pocket.
I like not having to carry keys in my pocket while running errands.
I never carry keys on the fob or in my pocket.
When I get home I take the keys in the house.
