Your wording in the poll suggests you want the results skewed to your predilections. Not surprising for those that want to justify "performance mods", even though most of them result in no measurable performance gains at the expense of substantially decreased reliability and life. Less brake dust contamination is bling? More comfortable padded armrests and center consoles are bling? Greater safety is bling? Less road noise is bling? Less interior heat is bling? All-season performance including cold and wet weather, versus skid pad performance on dry smooth warm surfaces, is "performance" improvement? Get real.

Interesting poll results.. but "I" tend to agree with it.. the only mod I've done for looks (Bling) is a D steering wheel & shifter boot by DSV...
The rest of my $$ has all gone into "Performance" mods...
I have nothing against people who prefer to chrome and or paint the valve covers or put chrome oil cap on the engine, but IMO its never seen unless you go to car shows, & I seldom do, or if I go I don't "show" my car I just look at the others...
I do my talking at Englishtown, Lebanon Vally, or Atco Drag Strips... Last yr I won enough $$ to pay for my 2800 FTI Stall converter... so I guess you could call it a win, win situation... No I usually don't come out on the + side in any given yr. but once in awhile I get lucky, & win enough $$ to pay for my racing season + get an extra set of Drag Radials..
The "Eye Candy" on my engine would never help me at the track.... but if car shows are your thing I say go for it and enjoy!!

What category would Caravaggio Daytona seats come under? 'Cause the more I think about it I've probably spent more on performance type mods than bling. Or maybe there needs to be a hybrid category too? It just so happens that some of that performance is also pretty blingy. Like a carbon fiber splitter, bling or performance? EE pedal set, bling or performance? Michelin super sports are performance but a new steering wheel is bling, I guess, but, I sure like the way it feels a ton more than the OEM one. Now I'm confused. I think when I read performance I was strictly thinking engine modifications but there are more ways to improve performance than just bhp.

I'd do a supercharger for 8 grand or leave it stock and do a few interior mods.....seats d shaped steering wheel, mgw shifter etc.

coming from a modded gt500 definitely performance mods. gotta scratch the itch. this car looks fantastic already and can be lowered to my liking on stock parts. only thing i plan on doing visually is some black zr1 wheels and some vinyl light tint. it looks amazing IMO.

Well, since I keep my Vettes 99.9% stock from both an appearance/performance aspect, I would probably use the money for Gas. I do drive the Hell out of them.

This is a good question and one I had to think about for a minute to give an honest answer to.
If I had $4K I would buy a nice set of LT headers and upgrade the brakes.
.....so for me it would be performance mods.

I voted for performance, shifter, intake, tuning, but I really would just save the $4,000 towards my next vette since this one goes much faster then I'm allowed to drive without going directly to jail and I like the way it looks, stock.
