I would love to go to this...too bad it's 2600 miles round trip, gas is $3.50 / gallon and would also take 4 days to get there and back.

Garret, fly r-t to Corpus Christi...secure lodging between there & Beeville, for example...
rent a car to run in the event. Any modern muscle-car will do...(or rent a Corvette).

Bring some friends & all participate...it's a blast !

LOL...plane ticket is $500 and you are there in 3 hours to San Antonio...versus 20 hours in the car...hmmm.....and you save 2600 miles on the tires as well. Rent a Prius and run the mile !!!!!!
