Convertible v Coupe
Time to stir the pot. Have had both and prefer coupe. Lighter weight and ease of removal/storage of C6 hard- top a plus. My 2011 fits tight, no rattle or wind noise. Holding breath. More rear storage. With tops up-on, coupe has way better all around visibility. With tops down-off, open feeling pretty close. Same amount of sun in the face with both. Cost? Value? Big diff. But, from the outside looking in, vert is so sweet and iconic looking with classic waterfall and flat rear deck. C-7 vert should be a head turner when it hits the streets.

I currently am driving a C6 Convertible and I also have a 1973 Coupe. With the C6, I really enjoy the fact that I can put the top down, or up at a traffic light, so the top is always down if it is above 60 and not raining. In the 73, even when new I seldom took the t-tops off. I'm going to buy the C7. But I'm wondering how often do the owners of coupes actually remove the top? I would really like to hear from some current copue owners regarding how much trouble it is to remove and store the roof. Thanks

The vert is so much nicer looking with the top down, if that's what most of your driving is, i like the vert. The coupe looks so much better with tops on... I hate the rear of the vert with the top on....

Had both, loved both. But in the Tx heat I like the coupe best. Just not long enough of a top down season for the vert. 2 or 3 months at best then it gets too dang hot or to cold.
For me a coupe makes the best DD.
Wish I was loaded....love to have a 427 Vert for a toy. That aint gonna happen anytime soon.
Fell blessed to still drive my 07.
Pretty easy to remove targa, just takes 15 seconds, unlike the 85 that takes 10 min.

Never occurred to me to get a coupe although I did like my T Top 280 ZX. For me the convertible is the best of both worlds, looks great top up or down!

The weight difference is negligble between the two especially on the street. I have not owned a coupe but have driven several. I find the coupes noisier in the cabin compared to the convertible with the top up. I also find the turbulence worse in the coupe with the targa off compared to the convertible with the top down. Both cars are great cars. My preference is the convertible.

I thought they were about the same, since the coupe top comes off, too.
