Default Sale coming up on Mobil 1

Advanced Auto Parts is having a sale starting february 28th -
5 quarts (jug or individual bottles) 5w-30 plus a Mobil 1 filter for $33.99.

My 2007 C6 coupe takes 6 quarts... but this is still a substantial savings even if you buy the oil and filter for an oil change in the spring...

$24 for the oil at Walmart, I guess it's a bit of a savings if the filters are more than $8 (most were about $22 at Walmart, so $14 savings)

They do it almost every month - I just wait until the sale starts and stock up on oil and filters.

Thanks for the info. Been waiting. My annual change is due in March. That'll work.

You may want to try changing it out more often than annually. The problem is that the oil may not be broken down, but the oil will still have carbon deposits in it. Theses deposits create muck in the engine and eventually affect performance.

Oil changes are more than replacing worn out lubricant - they are like a dialysis for your engine...

How is that a sale?

It is always 25.00 at Wal-Mart and 4.00 for the GM/Delco PF48 Filter.

Some of you guys have way too much money.

Any more I try to stay away from auto part stores as they rarely have the best price on anything. I usually buy at Walmart or online, of course this is as long as I can think ahead.

you guys are failing to realize that some of us like using mobil1 filters as well because they are better than the cheaper ones. Most local stores have mobile1 filters for $13-$18. So even if you buy walmarts $24 oil, with filter it's $37- $3-$8 cheaper...

Advance Auto parts runs some pretty good deals, but have to watch for them, especially if you buy on line. Last year bought some Castrol Edge and K&N filter for $32 bucks, and Advance gave me $5 bucks for my next on line purchase. Castrol Sent me an NFL football, and $7 rebate check. Gonna be kinda hard to beat that deal.

nice! I also found with all 3 auto stores, if they have store pickup, a lot of times you can use online coupon codes that you cant use in the stores and still pick it up!! I've saved a lot of money that way....

If you got the same Advance sale brochure in the mail I got it has a $5.00 off coupon for over $25.00 purchase.

$33.99 less the $5.00 coupon for 5qts of M1 oil and a M1 filter, and I dont have to go in WM.

i saw that, but it says non sale items. I'm assuming it won't work but it's worth a shot..... If the computer accepts it im sure the cashier wont look at the fine print...
