Default Road trip # 1 - 2013

The car is out of hibernation as of April 2, all washed, waxed and prepped for it’s 1st road trip of the season.

My wife and I scored some Masters tickets for Saturday and Sunday, so how could we not want to include the vette in one of the “premiere" sporting events, year after year.
We have been there before in 2010, flew in to Atlanta, and drove a rental Saturn Ion to Augusta for the event. This time were doing it in Corvette Style.

Leg 1 – 640 miles Wednesday April 10

From East Atlantic Canada to Ramsey NJ. It was a day started at 5:40 AM, ran into a rain and lighting storm just East of Newburgh NY at 6:30 PM. We got to our hotel at 7:30, needing some relaxation, and a good night’s sleep.
Have I mentioned how much fun it is to do road trips in a C6 Corvette

Wow that is some roadtrip, tickets to the Masters all is good. I went to a practice round a few years ago, the grounds are perfect. Your garage looks good as well as your Vette, have fun.

Sounds great! I like your garage floor.
Is that a bat-caddy electric cart?

Sounds like a great trip. I visited the Masters in 2003 (with IBM). You'll have a great time.

BTW - Your garage is waaaaaaay too neat.

Thanks for all the kind words. We are having a blast just being on the road in the vette, but we are so looking forward to being on the grounds at the Masters.

That golf cart is indeed a Bat Caddy Electric Cart, but it's renamed when sold in Canada as a Par Caddy, for who only knows why?

Default Leg # 2

Leg 2 – 460 miles Thursday April 11

It rained overnight, but the car didn’t melt , but it did get dirty

We left Ramsey NJ at 7:30 and stopped in Hanover MD for a bite to eat. As luck would have it, we spotted a Nike Outlet, so my wife had to go check that out, and try to find some golf skirts. Lot’s of goodies, but this store did not have any skirts, so a few $$ saved this one time.
We stopped driving early today, only driving 8 hours. Were anchored in Roanoke Rapids NC. We’ll catch up on what transpired at the Masters on the Golf Channel, and be up early for out leg to Augusta.

After dinner just a short time ago, I spotted a self serve wand car wash, so after 2 days of grime, I had to wash it. It looks so much better
