Default HorsePowerAddicts Cammed C6Z video

The owner of this beautiful 2007 Z06 contacted us about fixing the known valvetrain issues that LS7's suffer from. The goal was to keep perfect drivability, fix any valvetrain issues, and get some extra power while everything was apart. There are only 9K miles on this car but it sees the road course often. Spending a little now saves from having to spend alot later on.

After discussing options we agreed on a set of HPA rebuilt LS7 heads(unported). The heads include bronze guides, stainless steel exhaust valves, competition valve job, resurfacing the deck, and assembling to spec with dual valvesprings and titanium retainers. We also went ahead and added a 220 244 116lsa camshaft. With zero degrees of overlap it kept stock drivability but lets you know its there at idle. The rockers are upgraded with the Comp trunion kit. We ported the intake and throttle body and added a set of 1 7/8" longtube headers with a catted X-pipe.

All together it makes for a rock solid setup that can really torture the tires on the road coarse, but is mild enough to cruise down the highway at 1100rpms all day long.

Here is an Video of the dyno and idle:

Wrapped in plastic while being worked on.

Finished set of heads ready to go back on.

Kooks Headers fitting perfectly.
