Here is a pre dash letter paint pic. What I tried to do is extend the water fall into the dash. The look is exactly what I wanted. I wanted to bring just a bit of the body color into the otherwise drab dark charcoal interior.

No not at all im sorry I didn't take more pictures in the process steps. The masking is very important so you don't get over spray everywhere. You paint the whole lettered area as a whole block. After painting the trick it taking a smooth cloth dampened with mineral spirits and you sweep in one direction across all the lettering to start wiping the paint off. You might have to do this 10 times before its all off the dash and just in the letter cavities.

Another view. The dash/radio surrounds are not painted its a paint colored removable stick on panel.

I should add. "dont try this at home" unless you are sure you know the proper steps and the proper paint and paint removers to use so you dont wreck the dash.

I wouldn't have the guts to do that to my car. congrats on doing it well and to your liking. all mods are subjective anyway, so don't let negative commentary bother you. I like it, and als olike the fact its removable if you change your mind.

PM me if you have any questions. Don't use Krylon or Rust Oleum paints on the dash. I used Kilz brand enamel. Testors model spray enamel also works well.

Looks real nice and professional. I just don't have the courage to try it on my dash. What if I screw it up!
