Apsis direct.
I chose wide. I feel the wider the better the protection. I believe the difference is 1/2 inch.
Size wise I believe they are the same.
ABS less prone to rock chips.
Yes. I believe they are. Hope I'm right and hope this helps.

Does the APSIS front guards fit over the the piece that came on the car? or do those need to be removed before install? Also, I heard the APSIS overlaps and inch over the painted front fender and a rubber gasket is needed to prevent it from scratching the paint, is that true?

I put a set of wide ASPIS on my 2011 GS Convert a year ago after a Christmas special sale (still were pricey). Very happy to date with them, no issues. Surprising how few people in our Corvette club (Port City) or car show attendees notice them!
They seem to be doing the job they were intended for on my JSB paint and I agree with earlier poster, they do not detract from the overall appearance or look garish like a lot of accessories
Also, I have won trophies in 4 out of 4 car shows I have participated in on the Gulf Coast since I put them on so who knows maybe they bring me luck

I thought we were talking Grand Sports here, not base cars. So....you guys with base cars....and I ain't knockin' you.....have no idea of the tire size vs. the damage that can be done to mirrors and rear brake vents on the Grand Sport. Sitting Foooking Ducks for road debris.....
And after reading a zillion posts about this issue, the OEM Chebby splash guards do nothing for a GS.
Grand Sport Owners---buy the nice, black ABS plastic APSIS units and be happy for the remainder of your ownership of your car.

OK, so I didn't read close enough. Might as well have a moderator close my account because I am sick of people like you as well.

If you want to protect your paint wide body owners need the front splash guards period!! IMO,either RPI or Apsis I put the Apsis first generation (color not through)on my '10 GS as soon as I bought it and now 15,000 miles later take a look at what they have stopped from going into the paint!!! (I have since re-sprayed the insides) the new Apsis do have the color all the way through.
After installation....
I really like them and think they add to the wide body look.....

Please understand nobody including myself or Tracy were trying to knock you we were only pointing out that the C6 GM splash guards did not fit the GS/Z06. Chill and enjoy the forum.

What more do you want, more conspiracy theories?

The "wide" version is exactly like the rear guard, and the "narrow" version is 1/2 inch narrower. Both of them cover a bit of the painted area of the fender (and the attached soft rubber gasket bears against the paint) but they look like they belong there, OEM-style. As another poster mentioned, nobody even notices that they're there because they look so OEM.
It's just a no-brainer....in spite of the conspiracy theories.....

So...bye-bye. While you're gone, take some reading comprehension classes. I'm sick of people like you who chime into a thread and don't have any idea what is being discussed.

Just installed the RPI's on my 2013 Grand Sport. The passenger side went on great but the drivers side seems a litter shorter on the top as it does not extend as far forward as the passenger side bynabout 3/4". Also the bottom where it meets the inside fender liner there is a gap to trap rocks and debris, etc not on the passenger side. Seems like the bend might be slightly off.

I'm at almost 10k miles and have no damage. I'm thinking the way to best save money on these is to simply pass. Thus, I won't have any install issues.
