Default ABS light and service traction control

Started car 2007 C6 and all was fine, then service traction control and abs light on dash. Having traction control issues on a 2007 silverado, now into it for $3k and no one can solve? Did GM engineer failure after just 6 short years? What could problem be on the C6? Battery is original and check out ok at parts house?

I think that the computers are the Achilles heel of these cars. There are dozens of threads about these problems and the solutions are almost as varied as the number of threads. Only hope seems to be to find a stealership you trust with a Tech-2 and take it in while the codes are being displayed. Don't shut off the car because the codes may disappear. Problems found have been bad connectors, bad grounds, and intermittent computers. If you are out of warranty, yes, it can be thousands.

The best advice I have heard is try the easy stuff first. Have your battery load tested. The computers are really sensitive to weak batteries. Clean your battery terminals. Unplug anything aftermarket plugged into your ODB2 port.

I started mine one morning and got service AH, TC and ABS. Drove around for a few days and couldn't shake it. Got car to dealer and they wound up replacing one of the front wheel hubs. This was a 2012 GS with 64 miles on it. If you want I will pull the invoice and get you the part number.

Wish I could tell you. Mine went right into Kerbeck. I assume it must have thrown codes. They were able to tell me about an hour after I brought it in. They ordered the part, which came the next day, installed it and I was out the door by 3:00 PM.

See if you can get someone to down load any codes it might be throwing and go from there.
