My installer covered it with tint and did a fantastic job. I heard of the vinyl before. Coupe window is a real pain to tint so make sure your installer has done them before.

Personally, I think vinyl is for someone who isn't as confident in their product or their expertise. Mine is done in all tint and its perfect. Just took some time and finesse.
There is also a product that makes tint bond better to the dot-matrix. My installer used it and said it helps a lot. Can't think of the name of it off the top of my head though. Tint all the way and it looks great
On my 2nd and 3rd C6's, I had vinyl put over the dot matrix, for my own peace of mind, #1 eventually looked like crap. The vinyl looks great, and you can't see it from the rearview mirror anyway.

Post a picture..I've never seen C6 that is fully covered with tint only.

Here you go. This is 15% Llumar Ceramic all the way around with Airblue on the windshield.
The trick my guy said is that you have to let the tint dry out enough that you can get around each dot and not have bubbles. Applied it partially and then hung the rest off overnight to dry, then applied the tint to the dot areas.
A lot of people have the vinyl over the dots. Others have tint over the whole window. Vinyl seems to be the safer option. If the installer doesn't get it right, the tint won't stick to the area with the dot matrix and you will get bubbles.
Specifically request vinyl on all my cars now after my experience with what was originally a perfect tint job on my Z28 start separating over the dots after a couple hot summers. Vinyl never caused a problem. Guess it all depends on what you like. For me, I prefer the vinyl because I know it won't be problematic later. YMMV.

The back window does not look like the top dots are covered?? Maybe it's my eyes. Beautiful Vette you have..

Reason: add
i tried the vinyl on the dots and didn't help much. still looked bad...helped some but you still see them...i m thinking about using the lens paint to do these areas - the paint will fill all areas around the dots unlike the film that will trap air and wont adhere correctly...anybody ever done that?

I've heard of guys doing that, but never seen it in person.
