Hello everyone. I just found this site. I recently inherited my father-in-laws 2007 convertible. I have never considered owning a corvette before and now I have one. I know very little about them and I am not even sure what I have yet. Basics it is a 2007 convertible and it has 17,750 klicks. My father inlaw told me that it had been modified but I never really paid much attention to it. I have spent the last few weeks just enjoying driving it with the top down. So what I am interested in is where do I start with figuring out exactly what model and options i have. I am not a car guy so this is all new to me. Thanks for any information you are willing to pass on.

Welcome! I have an 06 vert but in order to tell you what you have you must first give us some clues. For example, power top? Heated seats? HUD? Power seats? NAV? See what I mean?

Welcome to the forum.
If you provide some more information about your car and some pics of the interior and exterior we can help. Hard to tellmwhat mods were done but take one picture undernthe hood as well. Also, if you provide the Vin to the National Corvette Museum, you can get the build sheet, copy of the sticker, etc.
Glad you are enjoying your 07.

Post a picture of the sticker inside the glove box compartment.
All those codes tell you exactly what you have on the car from the factory. There are some experts in here at decoding it.
Then post pics of the engine, exhaust and interior and we can tell you what else may have been done.
Can't tell you if he did anything to the engine internals though

Post a photo of the sticker inside the glove box door too. It has the option codes that the car was built with.
I hope you enjoy your car. Mine is the most enjoyable car I've ever had! Welcome to the forum. If you can't get your questions answered here you just don't need to know!

Welcome and Congrats on the Inheritance Corvette... If my Son writes and records one one song where I get slammed, he won't be getting a Free Corvette in his Inheritance.

Look through all the paperwork that goes with the car, might be something there as to the mods done.

You are now.
If you haven't already, wait'll you realize you've the world's most ideal "escape machine". Your FIL obviously knew of this.
Next 'bad day' jump behind the wheel & drive away to peace.
You'll see what I mean, you're in for a treat.
Plenty of members here drive a similar car, are more than happy to teach you all there is to know. Welcome to the club, and don't forget to wave. :

Welcome and enjoy! I'll now give you my lower radiator support lecture. Take dips slowly and at an angle or you may be replacing the lower radiator support. Look under the front of the car and notice how low these cars sit. I wish I had known this a few years back.
