I saw a fulll-size hood painted in DSOM at the Corvette Museum in August. No question that it is SOOOO close to the original DSOM...a little more gold flake. Gorgeous color. That's why I have had two 2005 DSOM/black top/black interior/6-speed convertibles!

You had two and you couldn't give me one to go with my coupe? Selfish,selfish,selfish! You were so right when you posted I would love dsom. Wasn't so sure when I first saw it on the trailer- it was at night and filthy. Thought,what was I thinking! Now I know for me its the best color. Thx Don

Just so you know,the new color for 2015 is called Daytona Sunrise Orange Metallic,if I'm not mistaken.

Yes, the new color is Sunrise, not Sunset...but they are so very close in color.

DSOM was my first choice when I was looking for my C6 earlier this spring and I still absolutely love it. My C5 was black and while no color looks as nice when it is freshly detailed, getting it to stay looking that nice was just too much work. The DSOM is my daily driver and while it is usually spotless when it does get a little rain on it or just plain gets a little dusty it still always looks great and only if you get up close can you tell it might need a wash.
