I concur. Apparently it makes others smile as well. I'm always getting complements on how beautiful the color is. 
True story, I told one of my co-workers that I just bought a Corvette. He asked, and I quote, "it's not that gay tweety bird yellow that I see every vette in, is it?" I took him outside to see it and he was practically drooling.

Daytona Sunset Orange Metallic - LOVE it!!
So....living in Daytona, it just seemed like a color I should have.
I had a 2005, then got a 2006 Z06 (282 of them were made in DSOM, so it's a very exclusive model!). My brother-in-law bought my 2005. Here's a picture of my Z06 visiting the 2005 up in NJ:

I really love my DSOM and still get so many compliments. I'd love to get a C7, but don't think I can part with such a gorgeous color. It would look pretty great on the new vettes and I wonder if they will bring it back since it was a fairly limited color. One can only hope they will.

DSOM is one hot color. I actually saw another one parked at the grocery store today. Think it was maybe a 2007? It had the two tone seats with the embroidered stitching.

DSOM was only available in 2005 and 2006.
In 2007 they went to AO (Atomic Orange), which is also a great color!!

There's one DSOM ZR1!!
In the Nat'l Corvette Museum, there's a ZR1 mule on display (or at least it was on display when I was there a couple years ago):
I guess it probably started out as a Z06 that they used for engineering development of the ZR1.
I wish I could get a ZR1 in DSOM, but I'll settle for my Cyber Gray one!

Thanks Guys...as far as the wave...I passed 4 other vetts yesterday...none waved back...but oh well.
I searched for a while before I bought mine last year and decided for this over black or red. I just don't see many of them in this color.
