LS3/7/9 do not have the flat panel filters. They use the Donaldson PowerCore filter which is oval in shape but ~5" deep. Best filter out there.
I DON'T know what it looks like but can it fit the LS-2 engine to be modified?
Are Donaldson Powercore filters like those Vortch filters or K & N where the filter is exposed. Cost?

The filter element used on the LS3/7/9 will not fit the LS2's filter housing. I'm not 100% sure, but I don't believe you can use the LS3/7 air breather housing on the LS2.
The Donaldson PoweCore filter element as used on the LS3/7/9 is not like the K&N units.
The Donaldson filter elements as used on the LS3/7 run around $100 depending on where you buy them, but last for 45,000 miles before they need changing.
