Pictures of Corvettes from the Trans-Am at Watkins Glen last weekend
I usually spend my time in the C1/C2, C3 and Autocrossing & Roadracing Forums, but I thought these might be of interest to some of the C6 members.
I crew for a driver who vintage races a 65 Corvette. We were at Watkins Glen last weekend for a Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) race. As part of the weekend's racing activities, the SCCA Trans-Am was there also.
The following Corvettes were competing in the Trans-Am race. The white number 55 belongs to Kerry Hitt, a Forum member and the owner of Advanced Composites, a maker of custom and racing Corvette body panels. The white number 57 is driven by Dave Pintaric, who is also a Forum member.
Dave Pintaric had the pole, and led until he was sidelined by a transmission problem. The race was won by Doug Peterson, in the yellow #87 Corvette.

Great pictures! I plan to be at Watkins Glen for the "6 Hours at the Glen" Grand-AM Rolex Series race June 30th. My 1st trip to the Glen. Next is VIR. Already been to Sebring this year as well and will go back!

Watkins Glen is just an amazing track...
I did a three-day HPDE there with my old P-928S back in 1997 ("the three days of Watkins Glen PCA Zone 1 event).
It was the best track experience of my life, for sure.
