It was better than a dream.

Totaly cool you let the 17 year old girl drive your Vette. She'll remember that for life. Plus you pre programed her in that 20 years from now when her husband tells her he's buying one, she wont resist much....

We are lucky b***ards. And, b***ettes. Cratchet, your avatar is one of my two favorite airplanes ever built. The other is the XB-70 Valkyrie. Two elegant aircraft that remind me of our cars.

That's what it boils down to. Good post!
Sometimes if I feel stressed or annoyed about something, I just open the garage door and have a peek. I find it soothing.

Amazing cars we drive. I'm a lucky guy...just started summer vacation so plenty of time for discretionary driving. Good times...

well, if you drive topless, i can't see you due to the fact that i live in pa. so, by all means, go topless.

I certainly feel the same way regarding my 427' vert. Soothing therapy and escape from life's problems at least for awhile.
As stated life is good....

I even found this old general store with a rusty Sinclair sign and the old 1920's gas pumps that were also rusty. Truly a great ride and view all while listening to 60's on 6 and the NPP exhaust! This is what these cars are all about...DRIVE THEM!
I took the top off my GS yesterday and let my boss handle the wheel...he was grinning from ear to ear!!!!

Yep. OP nailed it - that's what it's all about. 3 days of nice weather here in GA, 30 mile commute to work on windy back roads with a few straights and the top down on my vert - I'm in a GREAT mood when I get home.

I just love to take off the targa top, keep the performance exhaust on, radio cranked up and roll along however I damn well please!!

This forum and the helpful posts are great and I don't even mind those that think there opinion is best and the only one that important......at the end of the day I OWN ONE VERY AWESOME CAR!!
Yeah, your car looks way better in person compared to the pics. Can't wait till Talladega next year.

+1 Third week of vette ownership and I am really enjoying the car. I read posts about MPG and such but I just turned the tripmeter off and when the fuel gauge gets low I put fuel in it and DRIVE. What a fun car.
