I liked the C6 because it was a little smaller than the C5, then everything started going wide body. Go figure. If you have a C5 that is that nice and low miles I'd get some use out of it first. All Corvettes are classics the day they leave the assembly line.

I loved my C5, kept it for over 8 years. I wouldn't have updated to a C6 if there was no Grand Sport though. The wide body sold me. Looks fast & mean just standing still!!

Not true, I had a 00 c5 with sport seats, the seats on my 06 c6 are more comfortable easily.

I probably should get some use out of it. Then maybe the z06 or a wide body will come down to my estimated budget of $35.

Me too, The price difference between a 03 - 04 C5 is comparable to an 05 C6. It was an easy decision for me.

Gotta agree here; I personally think the C6 is the best design to date, and that includes the C7. Those tail lights on the C7 look straight off the Camaro.

My opinion is other cars should be copying the Corvette, not vice/versa.

I mean 03 & 04's were selling for about the same price as 05's. At least, that's what I found in this area.

You might need less mods on the C6; as stated above you'll get nice money for your C5...

Whichever way you choose, enjoy yourself.

I drove both and they felt the same to me. The interior is way better in the 08 that I drove. The exterior styling is a personal opinion. I prefer the C5 to the base C6. I'd still choose the 08+ based on the interior and newer features such as factory HID etc.

I had two C5's and four C6's. Do I like the C6 better, sure, but the C5's weren't bad either. As one of my friends says, "It's in the eyes of the beholder" which one is better.

My sentiments exactly.

You are asking US to tell YOU what you like (appreciate)?
That is like asking my wife to taste my food and tell if I like it.

Just curious about the jump if it was from a perfect c5 to a lower priced c6 as in a 2006 for about 30k.

I love my new C6 but to me the C5 is every bit as good looking, maybe even more so. The front of the C5 is just awesome and is the best part of the car IMHO. The longer body also just works really well to me, it just flows beautifully.

The C5 debuted 16 yrs ago and still looks fresh and contemporary to me. The only exception may be the hideaway lights, which are now kind of retro but still look so cool.

I had a yellow C5 for over ten years and still like the looks. You can add a black nose bra, like I did, which makes the car look shorter and add paint or a vinyl sticker to the rear end to make the rear end look a little less massive. I had an auto in the C5 and when I tested a 2012 with paddle shift I was not all that impressed with the difference esp. when I considered the amount I would have to pay. The stick is a different story. Both cars will easily exceed anything you can do on public roads within the law.

Thx I'm sure my 1 yr old c5 is just fine. Just always looks greener on the other side.
