Need help!!!! Overheating with A/C ON!!!!
I have a 2006 Vette 6.0 full bolt ons naturally aspirated. My car started overheating when i turn on the ac the coolant temp goes up to 240 and when i turn it off it cools off to normal. Checked the fan and its on, i also changed the thermostat and flushed the radiator and still overheating with the AC on. Any suggestions guys???? i am thinking it might be the tune but not sure???

when stock, I believe the A/C will shut-off when the coolant temp. reaches 260* F.
Maybe something in your mods/tune is the culprit...
also check the fan connector switch...sometimes they melt (see some other threads about this).

I have the same problem with my 07 ecs1500 set up. When I turn ac on the temp just climbs. As soon as I shut ac off it goes back down to normal. I have asked this question before wirh no luck. I also have 160 stat, dewitts radiator, fixed melted pluf issues. Hopefully you find the answer.

OP, are your fans coming on with the AC on? I have also seen many fan connections burn out, we have to direct wire them or replace the connection, but then they just burn out again. So we hard wire them now.
I have also seen a few C6's that had a bad module which was very tough to diagnose. The fans come on but not full speed. Its not like there is an RPM gauge on them so it's very difficult to tell if they are not spinning at full speed.
It is also common for the radiator and condensor to get full of debris, they have to be removed and cleaned to get it out.
Hope that helps.

Everyone,
Like I said I did find the issue and it was the tune. When you tune your car most of the time they do it with the a/c off. So what they did in mine there is an option on hp tunner on the ac i think its called cells. They had to retune it and send more fuel to the option of the a/c when its ON, so it can balance the temp and it will not heat up. Mine is running great now with the a/c ON. So if you guys go through this issue you might wanna check your tune..
