Do you not have memberships available to non-corvette owners?
If not what do you do to member who sells his Corvette - is he expelled?
How about Associate memberships?

When I'm driving my Silverado truck, I've waved several times, just by habit. The other Vette drivers probably think I'm a kook. It's just an old habit that's seems to come naturally.

Funny you mention perception of how friendly Corvette owners are.

We were at the Black Hills Corvette Rally in South Dakota and were staying at a B&B. The owners mentioned that they did not like to rent to Corvette owners as they were arrogant and rude. They would much rather rent to Sturgis type folks.. At times I would have to agree nothing irritates me more than a snooty Corvette owner.. I wave at anyone who waves at me just common courtesy.

Far better to wave and give them a reason to think you're a kook - then to just have driven by and be thought a kook

I wave at random people just to see if they wave back. Many times they do it without even making a face. I am sure afterwards they are like "Who in the hell was that and why did I wave so quickly?" Others look funny and wave and then some just wont even if they see me wave at them.

I think its fun. My girl friend says that if I keep it up everyone will wave at me.

By the way, the horn is not for getting someones attention to wave at you or see that you have the same car. It is to help avoid an accident. Last I looked there were some laws regarding beeping your horn without there being any danger.

And that's the problem. I waive every time I see another Corvette on the road. Unfortunately, I am frequently driving my F150 at the time. It seems I just forget for a brief instant the 'Vette is at home in the garage...

Don't laugh, I'm old...

I laughed when I read this. I'm guessing you're joking; otherwise, it's kind of sad.

Haven't had my Vette very long, but I have gotten a lot of positive comments.
I will say I don't think the Vette is the attention ***** my Challenger is. I've seen people take their picture next to it, or had someone else take the pic. Nearly every time I take it out, someone has something to say about it.

Why sad? It's not a Corvette. Do you wave to Camaro's, GTO's, G8's - they have Corvette engines. It's a Corvette thing.

I wave to the guy on the John Deere tractor and he waves back. This is about being friendly, not exclusive.

Most people dont give two hoots in hell over a Corvette. My friends 2002 Ram Air T/A gets more looks than my Corvette.

Corvettes dont get the attention that some people think that do and thats just fine and dandy with me.
