Who's Considered Corvette Family?

When I'm driving my Silverado truck, I've waved several times, just by habit. The other Vette drivers probably think I'm a kook. It's just an old habit that's seems to come naturally.

Funny you mention perception of how friendly Corvette owners are.
We were at the Black Hills Corvette Rally in South Dakota and were staying at a B&B. The owners mentioned that they did not like to rent to Corvette owners as they were arrogant and rude. They would much rather rent to Sturgis type folks.. At times I would have to agree nothing irritates me more than a snooty Corvette owner.. I wave at anyone who waves at me just common courtesy.

I wave at random people just to see if they wave back. Many times they do it without even making a face. I am sure afterwards they are like "Who in the hell was that and why did I wave so quickly?" Others look funny and wave and then some just wont even if they see me wave at them.
I think its fun. My girl friend says that if I keep it up everyone will wave at me.
By the way, the horn is not for getting someones attention to wave at you or see that you have the same car. It is to help avoid an accident. Last I looked there were some laws regarding beeping your horn without there being any danger.

NO! It's not a Corvette. It has a Cadillac engine. It was built in the Corvette assembly plant, but in a separate area. The Corvette has always been a sports car. The XLR was an attempt to compete with the Mercedes SL - a luxury car. Corvette has a long, unique history with very loyal fans, while XLR was just a burp in Cadillac's history of bad ideas - Allante, Catera, Cimmaron, etc. Corvette owners are a very special group!

I will say I don't think the Vette is the attention ***** my Challenger is. I've seen people take their picture next to it, or had someone else take the pic. Nearly every time I take it out, someone has something to say about it.

I wave to the guy on the John Deere tractor and he waves back. This is about being friendly, not exclusive.
