Actually, after I drive the vette I feel invigorated...to mist and wax all of the bugs off the front bumper. Every time.

driving has always been a necessary and therapeutic "tool" for me. I owned a non-sporty car for a short 8 months due to business reasons and I was not a happy camper during that time lol

sometimes after a stressful day I go out and cruise around in the Vette without any destination in mind for hours.

I know what you mean....nothing like wrapping yourself in a 400+ HP rocket sled, when you're havin' a bad day, and really pissed off!

Makes me feel good, and love driving it, and cleaning her after the ride.

Just bought an Intune and loaded the DiabloSport (93 octane) tune. Invigorated?? You betcha. Jumped on it hard from a stop. Hit 2nd gear (paddle shifter). The back end broke lose and turned somewhat sideways. Not sure what would have happened if I hadn't let off of it. Scared the crap out of my wife. She said, That's not right. It never did that before!! All I could do was laugh like a giddy headed little boy with a new toy. Plus what she said and how she said it was so funny. We both had a good laugh afterward. Thirty eight years together and she gets more entertaining every year.

I dont feel invigorated. I feel exhausted and stiff. I drive mine for pleasure only and drive it hard. Im always looking for backroads to do burnouts and 1-2-3 speed shifts on. Then running scared because I thought I saw a cop. Then calming down with a drive down the main drag of my town looking at all the girls. Then back home to clean the bugs/rubber from the car for the next adventure. This GS I have is very fun, but very hard to drive fast. It needs total concentration and two hands to keep it straight and safe. But it rewards you with a fantastic engine howl and lots of tire smoke. Very cool car, but I could never think of it as a DD or touring car. Even stock on 93 gas it was getting just 18-20mpg. Now on E85 with the added power, its lucky to see 13mpg. But again I drive it hard. With 7500 miles on it, and tons of fit and finish problems that had to be warrantied, I still love it for what it is.

I am stealing this from another poster. I drive my Vette every day. When I have to work it's like taking two vacations...one on the way there and the other on the way home. Even something as boring as getting on the interstate is a whole 'nother experience with a Corvette!

That is so true! I take my vette to work 1 to 3 time a week, it's always a sweet moment when it's getting close to the end of my shift and I realize the vette jet is on the tarmac outside waiting for me

Vette jet haha love that! Never owned a vette, but not buying another toy until I can get a c6. My fbodies and 06 gto always gave me this feeling though so I can relate. Something about them just helps you wind down and let things go. Longest stint Ive been on without a fun car, had just my truck now for about 15 months...definitely miss it!

It's a treat. I enjoy every trip I take in it, be it to the store or a longer road trip.
But I get more of a thrill on my sport bikes.
Especially when I'm on the track!

For me just walking out into my garage and staring at my Torch Red GS gives me a thrill.

Going out into my garage and applying a coat of polymer type wax at 3:00AM is a real rush.

Taking my GS out for a drive on a bright sunny summer day when the roads are dry is reserved as a special occurrence and a thrill beyond description............

Regards,

GSRANDY

Currently, I'm a bit annoyed by mine. Stupid shrinking carpet near the console on the driver's side....sigh.....
