I don't get the obsessed part it's just a car. I'm not even obsessed with my Ferrari, much less my C6.

If not then maybe you should upgrade to something other than Ferrari or Corvette. At some thrill level I'm thinking we all can be obsessed.
When half-throttle scares...maybe? At that point I'm hooked. Not in a Ferrari or Vette. Not in a car for that matter. But I've experienced that feeling and I'm obsessed with the thrill.
Makes no difference, I want enough power and performance in whatever I'm driving to scare me if I'm not skilled or stupid about throttle. With that kind of performance I can be obsessed.
Maybe you too?
If your Ferrari and C6 don't inspire that, then maybe neither have the power and performance you need to be obsessed.

You're Not the only one by a long shot.
Nothing gets my adrenaline running higher than a full throttle run through the gears with the LS3 screaming to redline

Yes they're cars. Obsession's are a matter of perspective. One persons obsession is another's "so what." If your choice of Ferrari and C6 are "so what" then maybe you settled for less than the top performance models those cars offer for your obsession.

I just spent a couple of days flogging a ZR1 around... but obsessed? Nope, remains a car...

Me obsessed? Let's see...owned 32 Corvettes... have all the original Corvette sales brochures since 1953....all the emblems that have adorned the Corvette since 1953.....Corvette books....Corvette C1-C7 diecast model cars in 1/24,1/18 1/12 scales..........
Obsessed.....Nah!

I am sure there are many more like you when it comes to being obsessed with the Vette.
Thankfully many other things going on in my life. I will say I enjoy my Vette but it is only a part of what makes life so good.....

Obsessed? No, I don't think so...
I wash my 'vette once a week, and wax once a month.
I used a detail polymer spray in between wax jobs.
Clean the wheels weekly with a soft lambs wool brush.
Condition the leather upholstery about once a week. Of course the interior carpeting gets vacuumed once or twice a week, and vinyl protectorant about once every two weeks.
I clean the engine compartment, and everything else under the hood, thoroughly once a month.
Check all tires for proper air pressure, and road damage once a week.
Oil is checked with each fuel fill up.
I always monitor my oil pressure, oil temp, battery charging voltage, coolant temperature, and check for service code warnings regularly.
I read Corvette magazines, and stay in touch on a Corvette forum.
But, doesn't everyone do this? I mean, I don't consider myself obsessed, right?
I'm not right? I mean, people that are obsessed are a little right?
But I'm not....I'm not.
