Default Wave Instruction Thread

Seems to me, there are just too many threads asking too many questions about the "Corvette Wave."

Let's use this thread to put an end to all the confusion. I propose we all put our heads together to establish "Wave Rules". Every one could simply print them out, for easy reference.

I'll start it off, and you folks can add to, or subtract from, the list, until it's considered complete.

Corvette Wave Rules

1) C6 Owners, do not wave to C5 owners, who do not wave to C4 owners, etc.

2) ZR1 owners, do not wave to ZO6 owners.

3) ZO6 owners, do not wave to Grand Sport Owners.

4) No one waves to Base Coupes, with less than a 4LT package.

5) Convertibles, no matter what the model, wave to everyone if their car contains an attractive woman.

6) Convertibles with a single driver are considered Gay, and should only be waved too by other Corvette drivers of the same sex.

7) Engine configurations are not wave applicable.

8) If you can accuratley guess how long it will be before the next "Wave" thread is started, you will win a free wave, even if you own a 1LT Base Coupe.

I hope that's all very clear now.

So who can we 1LT C6 owners wave to? I would think 6-speed manual guys cant wave to 6-speed automatics who cant wave to the 2005 4-speed automatics. Oh, and LS3s cant wave to LS2s. Just how we roll..............

I think you make some good points! Perhaps rule 7 should be modified to read that an LS2 may wave to an LS3, but an LS3 would be prohibited from waving to an LS7.

No stock block, may wave to a supercharged block, and any engine with 750 rwhp or more, is obligated to wave to no one!

So I guess owners need to start adding more badges then, and front and back. And bigger in the front so you can see far enough to make the appropriate decision. Mine would be '12 GS 4LT M6. And base ones would have to add 'LS2' or 'LS3' instead of GS, Z06 or ZR1, since 'base' is too demeaning . Like this: '10 LS3 1LT A6, or whatever the case. Now the OP needs to determine font and size of the letters .

9. Do not wave to any vette wearing a badge or emblem not factory installed
10. Z06, ZR1, GS, do not wave to guys who made their own widebody, even though some were done prior to ZR1 and GS
11. Do not wave to bald men in a Vert, they may loose control of their vehicle and hit you head on.

Corvette Rules:
If it is moving, wave
If it stops moving, say hi to the driver
If it is stopped, take a picture.

Trying to remember all these rules is starting to make my head hurt. I think I will just go for a ride in my Vette and see how many rules I can break.

11) May be one of the most carefully conceived rules so far.

Only a Carlisle Blue owner can wave to a Carlisle Blue owner. Owner must also be in his Carlisle Blue car to do so.

Since we all know Silver is the fastest color, it only seems right that everyone should either wave to, or salute Silver.
