Default Need advice please

In a previous thread asked about moving up to a C6 from my C5. Got lots of help and now need a little more. Found a 2011 GS 1lt with 16k miles for 38,880.00. Going to look at it Monday (they sent it out for new tires Friday). We haven't talked money yet but, is this a fair starting point? The car is Blade Silver with Ebony interior. It was a two year lease vehicle with a clean Carfax. Thanks for any advice/help.

I am sure others are going to tell you about some fantastic deals out there, etc. But for me the answer is yes that is a fair starting point price wise, actually it is a good price period.

Well, considering it's getting new tires, low miles per se,doesn't sound to bad at all.Is it certified?? I looked at a 2010 15000 mile GS a while back for the same price.I ended up with a 13 2lt for 48 grand.Try to get them to 36ish if you can,but 38 sounds ok to me.

get an autocheck, too, and take the vin to any gm dealer (or ask on here for gene culley or fichtner chev), to check the IVH gm history unique to gm's system. is this really a no-option GS? (manual trans, no npp exhaust, etc.)

Also get an alignment thrown in because of the new tires!

There are no extras that I'm aware of but, I have not had the opportunity to look the car over yet. That will happen Monday evening. I do not see anything about a GM certified vehicle in the on line listing but, again, tomorrow will tell the tale. The vehicle is being offered by a GM (Chevrolet) dealer so maybe I can get then to run the IVH history check then. As listed the car is a 2011 Grand Sport in Blade Silver. It is a 1lt and they list no other options. That's fine with me. My C5 has most of the 3lt options (I know they weren't offered as such) and I really don't feel the need for them. (The wife would like heated seats though.) I'll post tomorrow night what I find. This is not a need to purchase so time is on my side.

Thanks again for all the help and suggestions.

Well, its mine. Can't find the build listings like on my C5 but one option I saw right away, the $1995 chrome Grand Sport wheels in place of the standard painted wheels. The dealer put brand new Goodyear (carp, I know) run flat supercar tires on it today. I paid the $38k they asked and was happy with the trade in value they offered. Photos to follow tomorrow.

Thanks to all that offered advice, it helped.
