I can't agree the C7 "shadows it (the C6) entirely". The C7 is longer, wider, heavier, has a slower top speed than the base LS3 C6, has a Camaro rear end, a passenger car interior, a plumbers nightmare engine compartment, and a needlessly complex engine just to meet EPA requirements. In my opinion the Corvette peaked in '09, and since then it's been increasingly downhill as far as value.

I believe all C6 year models may be gaining in 'value'. A local dealer has three times, offered me what I paid for my 06 vert a year ago if I trade it in. That amounts to extremely high book value. Also offered is a free O&F change just for them to 'appraise' its value to buy it from me outright. If I had any more of a complaint than the lack of proper drivetrain tunnel insulation I might be interested. It's nice to be wanted.....
