Default Tail of The Dragon, with Pics

Did the Tail of the Dragon last weekend and had a great time. I was not going to let the wet roads dampen my fun (just took it a little easier).

If you have never done the Tail of the Dragon, I would highly recommend it. Not only is it fun to drive, but it's a beautiful trek to take

The Dragon is a cool road if your on the East Coast, but I can tell you we do have roads that make the Dragon look tame in the PNW and run for over 60 miles with zero interruption!

Good thread and great pictures! Somehow I even missed the Porsche in there...

Not that anyone observes it, but isn't the speed limit 35?

30MPH... The Harley owners ruined the road when they took over.
I am surprised the speed limit isn't dropped lower. If cruiser riders would take off the loud pipes and just learn how to ride,
The roadway would be much safer.

That road was 55MPH in the 90's and there were few crashes.
Of course the place was crawling with sport bikes.
Sport bikes can actually maneuver a twisty road.
Back then it was rare to see a cruiser in the mountains.

Because of the weather there were few vehicles on the road. I have done the dragon before in a Trans Am, but let me tell ya, these Vettes were made for mountain roads.

No matter where you live, if you get the chance, do yourself a favor and head for the hills
