I feel you op. My buddy and i went to a meet over the summer ( i was in my 05 cts-V, and he was in his 08 C6) i left my 09 at home. Im 28 ( look younger) he is 25 (looks much younger). We are both very social and interacted with everyone there. When we left out this older gentleman in a C6 yelled out to us "take daddy his cars back now"
I do see where you are coming from too as far as common courtesy goes. I would expect a compliment if i gave one or at leas a thanks or something along the lines. Hell when im at work in my company truck (18 wheeler) i always toot my airhorn to nice C6's and most times get a wave or nod back. Its just, common courtesy but now days its not so common. Dont sweat it op they just have bad *** manners or poor social skills.

Just like every other imaginable group of people that have anything in common, some are cool and some are azzhats. You happened to run into two of the latter. Don't let their miserable attitude effect you.

I'm 64 and enjoy all hot/muscle cars that are out there. I am a product of the 60's muscle era. If someone esle compliments my car, I do the same of their's. I am not sure why people and their rudeness is so rampant across this country. It's sad so just let if roll off and move on. Enjoy your car as I do mine.

Been Riding bikes for 45 years and the discussions on waving are never-ending. I say wave, make your compliment and move on. You should be doing it because you want to and that's it!
If someone is driving/riding something identical to what I have, I'll usually say something like "only a ***** would drive something like that!" then we share a good laugh when they see I'm a ***** too. Helps that I'm big and ugly so they usually hesitate before taking a swing.
