Why would it matter if it's out of state or not?
Be smart about where you go and park and don't worry about it.

No, not sure why being out of State would make a difference.

Just make sure that you have full coverage, and your deductible is low.
When someone gets a wild hair to break in the car and say steals the radio/nav unit out of it by breaking a side window to get in, the damage ends up being around $10K in the end, and not few's and two's that you find on other cars.
Also, make sure to park the car in a safe place at all times. Not sure why, but low life's love to take their frustrations out on expensive cars that they couldn't afford to buy themselves. Turn your back on it, and not out of the ordinary to find door dings, keys, and even windows broken out of the cars for no apparent reason at all.
Also, since it not a cheap car, thief's love to break into them to look for expensive stuff as well (read if your going to leave something in the car over night, make sure it hidden by at least the hatch cover).

If you are worried about the entire car being taken, it seems that very few few C6's get swiped except by someone who has a correct fob or who has a flatbed.
As previously posted; park in a safe place, keep valuables out of sight, keep your comprehensive insurance with a low deductible, and sleep soundly.

Melting Slicks
Just reprogram all of your FOBs... 30 minutes and done!
If there is one floating around out there which you are unaware of, it will become useless.
Otherwise, that is what insurance is for.
