Default Finally Got My Dream Car!

Hey guys I just upgraded from a 2000 C5 to a 2011 JSB coupe with NPP exhaust. I can honestly say I have never been happier. I am only 24 years old and I have wanted a C6 since I was in high school. This beast runs like a champ. This is also my first manual vehicle. It was really easy to learn how to drive stick on this thing. With this being my first manual car is their any advice the expert drivers recommend? I would like to prolong the life of the clutch as long as possible. This color is an eye catcher for sure. I ordered a full detailing kit from auto geek and this beauty really shines when the sun hits it. I

I mostly short shift at about 1500rpm and I'm still working on rev matching while downshifting. Does anyone have any pointers and rev matching and getting smoother shifts?

The only gear you need to balance the clutch and gas pedal is on first. Unless you're driving aggressively, it has enough power to skip gears when shifting. I.E. 1st to 3rd to 5th to 6th. Or 2nd to 4th to 5th/6th if you're on level ground or downhill. The less shifting the less wear n tear. Just don't put it in too high a gear too early or it'll bog/surge the engine which isn't good.

Don't worry about rev matching. Just enjoy the shifting.

The brake and gas pedals are a bit too far apart for heel-toe downshifting on the vette. Instead of rolling your foot try rolling your knee. I find it makes it slightly easier. Enjoy the car and don't go crazy trying to rev matching. Have fun..
