Default Is there any benefit to power shifting in the C6

I only had mine for 7 months but every one says the shifter is electronic and power shifting is useless is this true. I do it sometimes but it does feel better when I speed shift. Maybe placebo effect idk. Let me know what you guys think.

By "power shift" do you mean "no lift shift"? Accel pedal to the floor, go to near redline, stab the clutch and shift without letting off the gas?

I ask just to clarify terminology. A lot of people from different generations use speed shift to define what I just described while others use power shift.

The shifter isn't electronic but the accelerator pedal is, "drive by wire" electronic throttle.

I think you'll find most here would discourage no lift shifting, at least on a n/a car. Any possible gain, and that is hotly debated, is not worth the risk of damage.

I suggest if you want to discuss the topic, go over to the C6 Tech Forum where you'll probably get more responses.

Here's one example to get you started:

If you are drag racing power shifting is a benefit , but you better know what you are doing or it could be ugly.

Yup...it's not for the inexperienced because that rev limiter comes quick!
