— Nearly 112,000 Chevy Corvettes from 2005 through 2007 because they can lose low-beam headlights. GM says when the engine is warm, an electrical housing can expand and bend a wire, causing it to fracture. GM will also repair Corvettes from 2008 through 2013 if owners have the problem.
So, if you have a 2008 Corvette and you unexpectedly lose your lights and are not quick enough to figure out using the high beams and you crash and survive (maybe), they'll fix your lights. Gee that's a comfort.

IF they have "the same problem..." how the hell would you know until it's too late?

These guys have apparently already experienced the issue in 2005s and came up with a fix:

I know the feeling.

Better to find a mechanic, that even if does not know corvettes, knows how to find the pertinent information and above all is meticulous and reliable with his/her mechanical skills.

Maybe the manufactures wouldn't have to do so many recalls if they quit using foreign junk.

The recall only covers 2005 through 2007 vettes but admits that all C6 years are affected.

From Yahoo:

RECALL #2: 2005-2007 Chevrolet Corvette

This recall of 111,889 U.S. vehicles is meant to fix a serious problem with the low-beam headlights. GM says that "When the engine is warm, the underhood electrical center housing could expand, causing the headlamp low-beam relay control circuit wire to bend slightly." Over time, the circuit wire can break, disabling the low-beam headlights.

This problem appears to affect Corvettes from the 2008-2013 model years, too, though GM says that those vehicles will be repaired via a Customer Satisfaction Program, rather than a full-fledged recall. As with recall #1, GM hasn't specified how it will fix the problem.

Did anyone of "US" have any headlight problems?
I haven't read about any, ...I'll try another search.

Only 2009-2013 will be fixed at no cost not 2005-2007?
Not what this says. 2005-2007 will be fixed under recall, but 2008-2013 will be fixed under customer satisfaction coverage.

GM is also recalling 111,889 Chevrolet Corvettes from the 2005-07 model years for possible loss of low-beam headlamp operation in the wake of several hundred complaints. GM is also extending customer satisfaction coverage for 2008-13 Corvette cars, but not issuing a recall.

I just stopped by my local dealer and he said they have nothing on these recalls yet. He said recalls get published and announced before the dealers get notification of them and often they do not hear about it officially for months. Don't know if all of this is fact but that is what the service writer at MK Smith Chevrolet in Chino. CA told me a few minutes ago.

Since this is a Recall, I assume that GM will notify the owners on how to go about getting the fix done.

That will probably only help those who bought the car new. I assume GM has no idea that a lot of us have a Corvette unless we have had work done at a dealership. I have not.

Should work for every registered owner. Your DMV has the information.

And it is just in front of the Battery (or Dry Sump tank for Dry Sump vehicles) (we have two fuse boxes one is in the engine bay, which is the one in discussion and the other is under the passenger foot well cover.)
