Who knows what they did under the hood? Scratched your fuse box/fender and who knows what else...

You know I went out and looked it over under the hood and could not find anything different. I have no idea what the repair is at or looks like.
No one shared anything with me but here's your keys.

I want to see before and after so I will ask them to show me what they will do and after it's done show me again-completed work.

If I recall the fuse box consists of 2 parts (a top and bottom). The repair is done inside the bottom section of the box. So in order to see what they did, the top half would have to be disassembled. I wouldn't mess with it. The important thing is to have it done and have a record of such.

So it isn't really visible without removal? Won't mess with a good thing so if it ain't broke don't fix it after recall fix

Stopped by to make an appointment at Grey Chevrolet in Port Orchard, WA last week for our 07 and they told me they could do it immediately. I said OK and to go ahead and change the oil. They did the recall and changed the oil in a little more than an hour. Clock was OK as were the windows. They also honored my request not to wash my car, but did clean the interior and wash the windows. Explained the recall and noted that I had two front tires that needed replacement soon.

safety recall # 13146 underhood bussed elect. center housing will expand, causing the headlamp low-beam relay control circuit routed wired to bend slightly. after wire is repeatedly bent in can fracture & separate. when this occurs, low-beam headlamps will not illuminate. your chevy dealer will install a jumper wire to correct this condition at NO CHARGE. service time approx. 50 min.

go to chevy to see if your vin # is in this recall #13146

Default You should avoid the dealer !!!!!!!!!!

People concerned the dealer will screw something else up are on the right track.

I got the letter on my 2008 C6 coupe, I went to the dealer for another issue but figured I would get this done at the same time, why not ?

Its now been one week since I left the car at the dealer. Its been one delay after another.

When I went to pick it up after 4 days, the horns werent working properly.

They "fix" one issue but cause another. Now the dealer has to order a new harness for the horns. It seems they changed connectors since the 2008 production run.

I wish I had not had it done but who wants to have to replace a $900 set of headlights out of warranty.

BE AFRAID, BE VERY VERY AFRAID.

So I FINALLY received the recall letter for the headlight issue, after having the issue since August or so.

Had the work done, but OF COURSE, the Chevy dealer just couldn't stop themselves from being complete retards. They first sent their shuttle driver to the wrong address to pick me up... then upon arriving at the dealer, they couldn't find my key. Making me like 30 minutes late to work.

Oh, GM... you better get your **** together.

Any update on the Crank Pulley/Harmonic Balancer wobble? I've got this issue happening right now.

Default New Zealand C6 Owners Please Note.

Our C6 is affected by this Low Beam bus recall. I PM'd the GM person on this Forum to find out how Chevrolet were handling the International aspect of the recall.
They suggested emailing the GM Holden Head Office.
Knowing the non-capability of the Holden dealers to perform the work on Corvettes, this leaves the question, what have other New Zealand C6 owners done to resolve this recall?
Ours has not had a low beam problem yet, but I always get these things done if our NZ new cars are recalled.

Are the dealerships replacing the entire fuse box or just adding the jumper wire ?

They are only adding a wire.

I think they are taking the fuse box apart and adding a jumper and then re-assembling. It takes under an hour.

I received my recall notice for my 2007 Z06 but waiting for the snow and salt on roads to go away in NY another lousy winter for most Corvette owners ( Saw a new C7 today so some people drive them all year long)

Thanks arkay and Jwf. That's what I thought. I saw some other references in this thread about fuse box replacement

Correct - had my recall done yesterday. Got home and the sound from the fuze box was a wild ticking sound. Seems the tech put the replacement fuze in backwards. (Senior ServicesTech) name badge and all. Services Director saved the day - and future services.
