The people that like the attention they are getting will soon see it die off, especially when the 2015 arrives. You will then be 2 years into teh new body and they will start to become common place. That how it was when the C6 first came out.
As for buying, I just cannot see buying a new generation on its firat year and also I hate the depreciation you get on a new car. Wait a few years and pickup a 3 year old super low miles a lot cheaper then a new one. A little over 2 years ago I found an '07 (was looking for an '08 or '09) with 11,000 miles, 3LT with Nav and the 6-disk remote changer and Z51 option. It also had the wide body kit with black chrome Z06 wheels American Long Tubes and hi-flow cats. I got a good deal on it so I could not pass it up. The one one point of a new car is the factory warranty.

They are not even selling for MSRP anymore. A friend bought one for $6k off from a NC dealer. At least that is what he states.
Personally, I'm quite happy with my 60th Anniversary GS Coupe. I'm just going to pay this one off and maybe buy a 68 Vette in a few years. GM's prices are starting to get ridiculous. Tahoes even have list prices around $70k. Within a couple years GM will start offering loyalty cash and then you always have GM card cash.

I bought my 13 GS after seeing the C7 for the first time in person. I was not overwhelmed with the C7's looks, nor was I impressed with the HP gains. Is it a nice car? Definitely. But for me I would rather have the last year of the model run instead of the first year, especially win the big discount I got on the 13 versus paying sticker on the C7. I was able to get my GS exactly how I wanted, which included NPP, MSRC and 4LT. I've seen and sat in a few C7s now, and yes the interior is nice, but I don't see where it's really that much better than the 13 4LT interior. Yes, the stereo/NAV isn't as good in the 13, but I will fix that soon with a system that's better even than the C7. Power wise, my GS already dynos right in the middle of the stock C7 range, and very shortly will be significantly more. And finally, I get many people that aren't car enthusiasts asking me if mine is the "new" Corvette. . As others have said, give it another year or so, and the C7 will be "just another Vette". Besides, the tires on the base C7 are just too narrow.
So would I take one if someone gave one to me? Certainly. Will I own one at some point? Probably. I just don't see any real burning need to replace my C6 with one.

My 09 still looks new and has less than 22k miles on it, probably good enough reason to keep it for several years to come.

2021 C6 of the Year Finalist - Modified
My C6 still seems new to me ('10 GS) and I love it. Plus I'm waiting on a C7 GS... I smell it coming. Just last night I was reading something and they were talking about the upcoming new CTS-V sedan - they also referenced a coming C7 ZR1 >700 hp...
((I've heard all the arguments against a C7 Grand Sport...please save it...there will be one. ))

Well, after seeing one in person and looking it over...it looks a little better then the pictures. Still not a huge fan though. If I have to question whether or not I like the looks of a car months after it's release, well, I'll pass. I love my GS,loved the C6 from the very first instant I saw one back in late 04...that did not happen with the c7...and they just raised the price about 4 grand!!

I also bought my '13 GS AFTER seeing the C7. And your right other than corvette people and very few car enthusiasts most people don't know what year car you have and when my '13 is clean and shinny ( which is most of the time ) I get asked all the time also if mine is the new vette. To which I always reply "no its the last year of the old ones, what do you think"?

Because not only is it a triple negative financially, but I love my '09 vert. It is loaded with special wheels that I love and many options. I believe my Msrp was around 73K. Was able to buy it in '09 for a substantial discount. Remember '09 was a very poor economy and deals were significant.
By triple negative I mean: First there is no deal today. A neighbor bought a C7 for full list. Second I just received an offer in the mail for
27K from my local dealer, third the price keeps rising. I don't know what the vert price will be. So on the surface there could be a 60k spread when the vert shows up. Are they serious?
Once the " I got to have it first" crowd is exhausted, we will see what happens.
The truth is, I love my C6 outfitted as is. I think I said that before.

I like the C7 and would like to get one.
But, Waiting for a C7 when they offer the Mag Ride without needing to get the Z51 option.
Also will wait for a used one, or, until the big discounts are offered like when I bough my 09 Coupe.
Either way it'll be 2-4 years before getting a C7.
Oh, and, I like my C6 just fine in the mean time

My 3LT GS has only 2k miles on it, I'm thinking of going in the other direction and buying a C2...
