Why are you Not buying a C7 ?
For me i am not sold on the looks of the car. The rear end mainly. Another thing is i hardly drive the car i have now so i can't really justify trading in my car and spending another $25k. Final reason is i really like the looks of the car i have now.

I haven't come to grips about parting with my C6 yet. I've just had it a little over 1 year so it seems too soon to get rid of it. I also wouldn't buy the first year of a new generation. I'll let Chevrolet work some of the bugs out of the car first. I am considering a 2016 C7 however.

I have an 07' LMB coupe with 42,700 miles, bought new. I love it and it loves me. It's fully loaded with all the options for a base coupe. Buying a C7 is not an option I'd entertain. My C6 is perfect with me, besides, I don't have the money. I'm retired and I will not dip into my retirement fund for a new car, that, I don't need. As simple as that.

My C6 still seems new to me ('10 GS) and I love it. Plus I'm waiting on a C7 GS... I smell it coming. Just last night I was reading something and they were talking about the upcoming new CTS-V sedan - they also referenced a coming C7 ZR1 >700 hp...
((I've heard all the arguments against a C7 Grand Sport...please save it...there will be one. ))

But I'm probably in the minority, at least after reading the C7 forum.
Based on reading the C7 forum here are the reasons most buy C7:
50% Looks good in my garage/ I feel good looking at it in my garage.
25% I get lots of attention when I drive it to the gas station once a month to get gas. People think I must be really successful.
20% Chicks and middle schoolers really "dig it", until they see I'm a geezer.
5% I like to exercise my driving skills on the track, canyon carving or just using the power to induce oversteer.

Because it's not as "clean" looking as the C6, which is not as clean looking as some of the C5's (IMO). Might grow on me, but I'm seriously considering delegating about a 1/3 of the money of a new C7 to my current C6 in performance, drivetrain, handling and braking upgrades.

My gorgeous 06 vert is still delivering just what I want. Beauty and performance. Noticed it again last night as I approached it from the side/rear. Beautiful! And that's with 68K on it. The grey top over a silver bottom. Class, refinement and performance. Gorgeous!

1) Money, $$$
2) Still like my AOM 2009 w/33,000 miles on the clock
3) Garage space (2,000 sq ft. is full)
4) Bought two new 2014 vehicles this January on the same day. VW Passat TDI and a loaded Jeep Grand Cherokee. (see # 1 above)
On the up side my GF and I drove down to Spring Mtn. in early April and spent a couple days on the track in their C-7's with 8K miles on them average.
Now, looking at the press articles on what the 2015 ZO6 is looking like. WOW, may have to sell my house and move into my truck camper and live at the nearest WalMart.

I'm happy with what I have.

Waiting for the more powerful engine to be released next year. Right now I am okay with the looks and everything else but want more power over the C6 to justify the expense.

I am so happy with my 13 Grand Sport and that is the way it is with all of the "C" models... I liked my 94 coupe and people were ragging on the "Star Wars" Instrument panel they have and now I am saying the same thing about the C-7 instrument panel.
I do not understand on my 2013 C-6 why the radio / nav system is so outdated and I cannot believe there is not a back-up camera.
But, side by side, C-6 & C-7, I still like mine better and bottom line, C-1 thru C-7, the “C” is capitalized because whatever model group of the one you like falls into, it is a Corvette!

I still like my 2011 with only 10k miles on it and I don't use all the performance it offers. Why in the world would I spend 30k plus to have a little more performance I will never use.
I'll leave the "got to have the latest and greatest" for other people with a lot more money to throw away than I have.

Because right now they are very poorly painted and built. Some are even coming from the plant with broken and glued composite panels. I don't need to be the first on the block with a "TSB QUEEN" in the garage, When GM decides to stop delivering junk for $70K maybe I'll re consider. Thats why.

1. Have never paid MSRP for a Vette, never will. My C6 is my third. Have always found Corvettes to be an enigmatic mixture of brilliant engineering and cheap execution. Still love 'em, though.
2. Test drives are still refused; who in their right minds would lay down that amount of cash on a car they weren't allowed to drive?
3. First-year foibles, and in a few months the 14s will be old news when the 15s (8-speed auto, Z06, Cialis cockpit auto misting feature) arrive.
4. Coupe design borrows a little too much from Ferrari. Rear looks like a salvaged Trans Am (RIP) design.
5. Can't afford one (see number 1 above) cuz I recently retired.
