Thinking about selling, what's it worth?
2005 C6 with 49,000 miles.
Rebuilt title, was done professionally. Light damage in the front driver's corner.
Automatic, removable top.
Everything is factory, runs and drives great. ABS light is on.
How much? (Silver with factory wheels)

Not sure how you can call it light damage when normally an insurance company calls the car a total loss and then it gets a salvage or rebuilt title.
Not sure who would spend the $$$ unless they were handy and willing to take a chance. Best of luck anyway.

I'd say $16-$17k if you're lucky. I may be wrong, but with that title it might be hard for a buyer to get a loan, which would reduce the prospective buyers to only cash buyers. I can't speak for everyone, but if I had $16k+ in cash, I don't think I'd be looking at a rebuilt 05. Either way, good luck with the sale

I paid $17k, 2years ago for my 05 w/ 58,000 miles (rebulit title). At the time saved over $10k (over non-rebuilt). I took it to a Corvette shop for inspection before I purchaed it. 23,000 miles later, changed a oil pan gasket and door handle. I've spent a couple thousand on making it my own and could not be happier. Best money I ever spent. I paid cash but banks will loan on any car with rebuilt title with an inspection. I guess the bottom line is, what happened to it and was it fixed right? Good luck!

I don’t know about price because of lack of research in cars with a salvaged title, but are you allowed to sell a call with the ABS light on? I mean, I know when buying a used car it is considered “as is” but I thought there was something that would prevent someone was knowingly selling a car with faulty or non-operational safety equipment.

I have five decades of used car experience buying and selling.
As a buyer, if it was nice, the max I would give is 50% of ROUGH book value. ABS Lights on, do a 2 grand deduct. That is a killer and will probably cost that much to get them turned off, IF they can or will be turned off.
I would be scared to death of a "professional" car re-builder and any cars that he has rebuilt. He knows all the tricks.
There is a reason why cars are totaled. They should only be sold for parts.

In the end,it will depend on who comes along to buy it.As you did when you bought it.It will take that special needle in a haystack type that doesn't care about salvage.Me personally, unless I was planning on gutting the car for the track, I wouldn't pay squat for any rebuilt anything save maybe a 300 buck 20 year old Honda civic or something.Worthless on trade in at a dealer because it's salvage so the avenue to get rid of it is limited.Good luck with the sale but keep your expectations low so you're not disappointed!

Tens of thousands of cars came out of Sandy with salt water flooding and salvage titles. That was 2 years ago and these cars are now spread throughout the country. They are all time bombs that will give owners ongoing electrical/corrosion problems.
