Default C6 cabin air filter

I picked up my new 2006 Convert. I was looking at the manual, do all 2006 corvettes have the cabin air filter or was it an option?

All, and you want to replace it with an oem or aftermarket charcoal type filter.

Make sure you wear your work gloves.. Filters are pretty tough!

Purolator makes a fine replacement filter for $12 - $15 IIRC

Let's think about this. A cabin filter in a car with no roof.

I'm betting most coupe owners keep the roof on the great majority of the time.

When it is over a hundred African jungle degrees in Tampa as I ride the streets you tend to want some AC. In November and on...top off on the way home from work no problem

To respond to your question, I don't know. My guess is yes as the spot for it is in the design of the bodywork under the hood. My 06 Vert has one and it (is) a tad hard to install a new one.

All vehicles since about 1980 or so have a cabin air filter. Ours is located under hood, passenger side, up close to the windshield. 3 snap clips hold it in place, pull out the old, carefully put in the new.
