How much power am I looking at ?
I have a 2007 bace model ls2 that blew up .
So I am doing a motor swap. Please try to guess or tell me what kind of power I'm looking at .
1. Forged iron short block 415 6.8 L
2. 243 potted / polished heads
3. Brian tooley stage I I I Cam
4. Chrome molly push rods
5. 2500 stall
6. Then dyno tune .
Still new to this just trying to see what power I might be looking at thanks guys

Ok, that's the exhaust. Is it going to have a blower, turbo(s), OEM FI, aftermarket FI, if so, what type and capacity? Your list of items mainly strengthens a motor, not make it go faster. The forged iron block and pushrods for example. The cam and heads and to a certain degree the rods are what will give you more ponies but your induction system should accommodate the cam, head and exhaust for the most you can get out of it. In the olden days, not having a cam but still running two four barrel carbs wouldn't quite get it done. Putting a high lift, short duration cam in there would. If you're choosing a cam before the intake system you'll have to dial in the induction to suit the cam for an ultimate power output.

580-610ish at the wheels would be my guess without knowing actual cam specs. You're approaching the max power from naturally aspirated without going to a huge engine.
