Wheel Spacers
I replaced the Bridgestone tires that came with my car with new Michelins (the same size). Bridgestone were not run flats, Michelins are run flats. But the Michelins seem to be a bit narrower than the Bridgestones. Pep Boys have 1/4" wheel spacers, I'm assuming this is what I would use to kick them out a bit. Also, would I have to have longer studs? Might be a dumb question but I appreciate your answer.

Im currently running 1/4" spacers on the rear without longer studs. I did a lot of reading on this forum. What I found was that 1/4" is the max you would want to go while using the stock length studs.

Melting Slicks
I ran 1/4" spacers all around for over a year on my old car. I used open end lugs and had no issues. I would NOT advise using stock lugs unless you replaced the stock studs with longer ones.
