Default And the BEST glass cleaner is.......

I'm still hunting for the best auto glass cleaner. I know a lot of people swear by Invisible Glass and I tried to like it but I was never sold on it with either the spray bottle or foam. To me it seems to smear quite a bit and only after repeated attempts of going over and over with it does the glass look good. I also tried using wiping cloths and paper towels with it and that didn't help. Any recommendations?

Note.....I'm referring to the inside windows!

I have found nothing better than invisible glass once over with a terry towel, and then again with a piece of newspaper.

I detail cars and my thoughts are it's more about technique than the cleaner.

That said I like Sprayway in a can

Using 1 towel with the cleaner for cleaning, then use a second dry MF towel to buff the glass to a streak free shine.

invisible glass...

BUT!!! you should really put rainX or something on once it's clean to form a barrier. It's much easier to clean in the future when you have something on the glass.

Hard to believe that newspaper works! You would think that the print would smudge on the glass.

Not sure I would want to use vinegar for the inside because of the smell.

I've tried all the glass cleaners and the many different cloths (microfiber, blue glass cloths, etc.) I finally found something which works great with NO STREAKS in addition to creating a Rain-X effect. Use Turtle Wax Spray Wax on your windows and wipe it off with a microfiber towel. You'll get clarity and no streaks. I would suggest a regular glass cleaner first to get the loose dirt off the window before using the Turtle Wax Spray Wax. Try it, I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised!

No cleaner at all. I use a myra fabric cloth. Just dampen with water and ring out real good. Learned about this product here on the forum. Search myra and you will find a thread titled window washing trick. They are available from a forum vendor.

Invisable glass from Stoners. Only in the aerosol can tho.

Never seen another product off-the-self that does a better job. Always leaves a completely streak-free shine.

GM Glass cleaner in a spray can. Works good and I use it on the see through top as well. It's around $4.00 a can from the dealer. Easily lasts a year.

50/50 mix of Vinegar and distilled water , distilled has no contaminents to compromise the cleaning . also if you continue to see streaking , especially after rains or winter a spray bottle with distilled , or softened water and a couple of drops of soap , either dawn or car wash will clean the "crap" off the surface and make it ready for cleaning .
