That "Do people hate Corvettes" thread had me thinking, and now I think it would be fun for you all to chime in.

What cars or car/driver combos do you think are the worst offenders on the road of truly seeming to believe their car is a contender? I've always driven fast vehicles and I'm amazed at who is out there driving aggressively and trying to pass.

Hope nobody gets offended, this is all in good fun. Try to avoid the typical Honda with fart can response. My top three are:

1. Girls in late model Nissans
2. Guys in Ram 1500s with catbacks
3. Stock BMW 3's (aside from M3)

No seriously, I've had all sorts of trucks, imports and Mustangs try to run me. There was even a minivan once that tried something but I'm sure it was just to see if I'd "speed up" ...the vehicle was full of kids.

I've never had a Camaro try to run me though.

There needs to be a disclaimer under these "sporty" car marketing campaigns, i.e. Mazda 3, Scion Tc, Nissan Maxima... Something like:

"*car still has horsepower output starting with the number 2, do not tailgate LS3s"

M3 is not a fast car. Light bolt-on LS3's will walk a stock M3...trust me I know

Oh trust me I hear you, but at least I can see why someone in an M3 would consider their car fast. May not know how easy it is to put out 500hp in a C6... But they can consider their car fast. The guy in the e46 325xi? Not so much.

Reminds me of a story. haha.
I showed up to a female friends party, and this guy was hitting on this other girl talking about how it hard to fit golf clubs into his sport car. So curious I asked him on the spot, what kind of car do you drive? He said an Spider Eclipse. I didn't say anything about my car. About 30 mins later people were talking about my Vette outside. I kinda felt bad taking away this guys thunder. haha...
I don't get many people wanting to test my car, only a few. One was a 72 Camaro with a blower sticking out of the hood. Have to admit he kept up, and was a cherry car. Other than that, mostly trucks and real ricers that would make me look bad. haha.

Girls in Pontiac Grand Ams or Grand Prixs...usually with big hair and a cigarette butt...giant "PONTIAC" sticker across the windshield...poorly executed Walmart tint on the windows...blasting past me on the right at twice the posted speed limit...racing to Dunkin Donuts for a fix. I'm not sure that counts though. They're usually blasting right past me so they do have some objective evidence that they are, in fact, faster than me...

There are a lot of Subaru and Infinity G35/G50/G?? owners that are overly aggressive.
The aggressive bad driver, most likely to cut-off and no look driver award belongs to Jeep owners around here.

Living here in the middle of the American auto industry I don't take anything for granted. You just never know what's under the hood of that stock looking Mustang or Camaro. Same holds true for stock looking Vettes. I just mind my own business and keep my insurance rates as low as possible without tickets. There are truly some scary fast stock appearing cars on the streets of S.E. Michigan.
