Default Air Dam needed

I just realized while looking under my 2007 that l was missing the passenger side rubber air dam. I know it comes in three sections but what l was wondering can l buy just one side or do l have to buy All 3.
There is one site that sells both sides and front by themselves, but
i only want to buy GM.

Thanks

Alan

I ordered just the right side for $20-something. here's the part numbers for a regular coupe:

21992641 – Center air dam
20896059 – LH air dam
20896060 – RH air dam

search the GM part numbers and find a low price.
I think I got this one:

Default Passenger side air dam and ?

Hi

Tomorrow l am going back to Hendrick 's to see what they will do if anything.

When l picked up my 07 they gave me everything they would give a new owner except only. 1 yr bumper to bumper instead of 3 yrs. whatever issues l had they took care of it. But it appears that the previous owner
went over something and lost the one side of the air dam and loosened something (blk) by the dam. I will take a pic tomorrow.

There is also some scrapes underneath but that is to be expected. My 02 that l traded in was perfect and they sold mine within a week and raised their price an additional $1000'

If they don't comp you on the RH air dam part, it is about $30 shipped and takes about 10 minutes to install. Personally, I would do it myself to avoid the time to drive to the dealer and wait around (and possibly to avoid the argument/negotiation).

Default Hendrick's

Hi

I just came back the first thing they told me is to go to the body shop through the service center because it was cheaper and get an estimate and to come right back to them.

The body shop showed me that l was in need for more then the passengerside air dam. It seems l also lost part of the inside wheel well and other various parts.

The underside of the front bumper was scraped pretty badly so he told me that hw will give me two different estimates, one with only the replacement air dam and etc parts and one with the painting of the underside of the bumper included.

When l went back to the main guy in the service center and showed him both estimates he told me to ask for one of the top dogs in the showroom and plead my case.

I met with one of the top dogs (blk shirts) and he listened to my woes and said let me talk to the body shop and check the records of my trade in and the vette l bought and he would be right back.

In about another 10 minutes another top dog (blk shirt) walked in and l met with him once while l was working on buying this vette. Anyway
he gave me back the estimate without the painting and told me to tear it up and said lets fo it the right way and also paint the bumper.

Bottomline we agreed to split the costs in my favor and l walked out a very happy guy. The body shop gave me a date to drop it off and said that they will go over the car once again.

Good Story with a Happy Ending.

Thanks for listening

Alan.

That's a great deal Alan. So glad to hear a good dealer story. I'm now on my second dealer as my original dealer leaves a lot to be desired in that department. After reading your story I wish the Hendrick's store in Charlotte. NC was closer to me.

You are talking about City Chevrolet that was in "Days of Thunder". They treat vette owners very well.

Yep, that's the one Alan. I've heard good things about them. If I ever need anything serious, I will probably go the miles to get the fix.

The best place for a vette is Vengeance Racing in Cumming, Ga.

Hoping to pick it up today from Hendrick's and then l have to decide to either put in a cut out with a remote or leave it alone. Even though l just picked it up i might wind up selling it in a couple of years to move up to a C7 and it is easier to sell a stock vette except for minor upgrades. If l decide to keep it then l will mod it.

How easy or difficult is it to reverse a cut out with remote?

Thanks
